Blind Dogs Learns Love and Regains His Vision

It's difficult to imagine how a blind dog can survive in this world. Dogs rely so much on their sight. When ocular diseases take vision away from them, it can be a major challenge to get by.

Fortunately, a kind stranger realized the tough life ahead for a blind, lonely dog he encountered on a business trip. They took action to get this dog help, leading to a miraculous recovery that not even his veterinary caretakers could imagine.

Lonely, Scared and Blind in the City

Blind Dogs Learns Love

A person on a business trip found a stray dog living in a busy city's concrete and chaos. It was already late. The sun was down, and the individual came across this dog by pure happenstance. They stopped to observe the dog.

It appeared entirely blind. Its eyes were shut tight, seemingly ravaged by disease. The dog's eyes twitched as it cowered in fear amongst the city's noise.

As the person approached the dog, it sensed his presence. The poor pup was small and scared, attempting to hide. Unfortunately, its lack of vision left the dog no choice but to sit and shiver in fear.

Realizing the dog's low odds of survival, the person brought it food and attempted to call a rescue team. The dog was helpless, but it couldn't pass up food. It likely struggled to find food due to its blindness, making the meal heaven-sent.

Unfortunately, the person who discovered the dog couldn't reach a rescue team before their phone ran out of battery life. They had no choice but to leave the dog behind, hoping it could stay safe for the night.

Hopefully Waiting

The individual returned to where they met the dog the next day. To their surprise, there it was! It was waiting for its savior, even recognizing their voice and showing some affection. The person provided more food and got in touch with a rescue team.

They brought the helpless blind pup to an animal hospital for a full examination. They discovered that the dog suffered from several health issues, including parasites and a severe skin condition.

The skin condition was so bad that most of the dog's hair already fell out. On top of all that, they found that the dog had corneal ulcers and pancreatitis. What's most shocking is that the dog was only about six months old. It likely entered this world as a stray and lived in squalor from birth.

A Miraculous Transformation

The animal hospital knew that the dog would need extensive care to recover. Thankfully, many people chipped in to cover the costs of his treatment. The team named the dog "Thirteen," bathing him before starting treatment.

While the hospital treated ocular issues conservatively, there was a chance that the dog's ulcers were curable. The hospital staff began a round of medications to address the dog's various ailments, including specialty eye drops.

Surprisingly, Thirteen took those treatments like a champ, scarfing down medications with hope!

To the hospital team's surprise, Thirteen's eyes opened on the third day of treatment! Over the next two weeks, he dramatically improved.

While his vision wasn't perfect, it was obvious that he could see! He began following toys held by the hospital staff and even perched himself on chairs to take in the scenery.

In addition to improving vision, his skin condition slowly healed. Malnutrition became less of an issue, and this once-scared dog was now running and playing like a healthy dog. The young pup's vision continued to improve with time, and he was in the company of loving caretakers.

Due to his blindness, this dog would have likely died alone and scared. But thanks to the kindness of a stranger, he regained his vision and started a new life of joy!
